NextGen Impact Fellows are a cohort of students who advance interdisciplinary research and creative inquiry projects that explore new areas of knowledge and address societal challenges. Fellows advance their multi-year projects in the Spring and Fall semesters, earning six academic credits, with select fellows having the opportunity to participate in the summer Mountaintop program. The courses, workshops, and retreats of this program integrate experiential learning, research, and creative inquiry with students leading original and ambitious projects that encourage intellectual risk-taking and bold exploration. Fellows develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while working toward outcomes such as journal publications, conference presentations, and insights that inform policy and practice. Projects are mentored by Lehigh faculty with students making substantial intellectual contributions along the way.
