The Marcon Institute was established through a gift from Charlie Marcon in 2021. The Institute’s core activity is to prepare and deploy scholars, the Marcon Fellows, who show dedication to research that influences perspectives, practices, and policies on racial justice. Students selected as Marcon Fellows will spend the summer working on faculty-led projects in the areas of social justice, race, and racism in the Lehigh Valley. The ideal project would involve a small group of students working in a way that connects with a Lehigh Valley community organization to enhance the work of that organization in social justice, anti-racism, or related areas. Selected students will earn $4,000 each for ten weeks.
