ImpactTrails: Unlocking Student Potential & Igniting Passions
ImpactTrails is a student-led research initiative that set out to answer "why are most students not participating in high impact programs?"
High Impact Practices (HIPs) have become a hallmark of experiential learning in higher education, offering students opportunities to engage in practices that enhance learning, personal development, and career readiness. The ImpactTrails team helps students access these beneficial programs and understand the challenges and successes they encounter on their journey by identifying common barriers between students and HIPs at Lehigh, understanding motivations, highlighting success stories, and creating student personas that will help us tailor our solution to meet specific needs of various student groups.
Research Insights: Student Personas
The team identified 15 unique student personas, each representing common characteristics, motivations, and challenges students face when engaging with high-impact programs. Understanding these personas helps tailor support and outreach to ensure every student has access to life-changing experiences.
